  • Someone that can challenge in a way that leaves people intact, curious and leaning in but without removing responsibility from the coachee

  • Someone of very substantial, real-world, experience and credibility

  • Able to work with behaviour - feedback, disclosure, vulnerability

  • Commercially astute and numerate as this is the world of most coaches

  • Can square up the links between behaviour and the results

  • Explains things in very relatable ways with great stories

  • Someone who uses a distinct process and is formally qualified

  • Someone who knows coaching is not mentoring
